Restoring Hope, Rebuilding Lives: FAID’s Relief for the Most Vulnerable in Buner
FAID (فائد) – Foundation for Ageing and Inclusive Development – remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in times of crisis. Under the GEF Project, FAID extended humanitarian assistance to older people and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in District Buner, ensuring that their unique needs are recognized and addressed.
Through these recent relief efforts, FAID distributed:
- 1,000 jerry cans
- 325 assistive devices
- 450 non-food items (NFIs)
- 450 bedding sets
- 900 mosquito nets
These essential items were provided to help meet the immediate water, shelter, protection, and mobility needs of older people and PWDs affected by local challenges.
In addition to material support, FAID conducted awareness sessions reaching 1,372 community members and facilitated access to clean water for 74,243 people through the provision of water tanks.
This initiative reflects FAID’s unwavering commitment to inclusive humanitarian action, promoting a society that upholds ageing, dignity, and inclusion for all.
