As people live longer, ensuring income security and opportunities for decent work throughout the life course is increasingly important. Older people continue to contribute to families, communities and the economy, yet many face limited access to social protection and sustainable livelihoods.
FAID works to strengthen income security for older people by supporting social protection, age-inclusive livelihoods, financial inclusion and opportunities for continued economic participation.
FAID also promotes recognition of the contributions of older workers, caregivers and community members, while supporting approaches that help people remain economically active and secure as they age.
