FAID held a sensitization session for the program staff of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) to understand the concepts of Aging and inclusive development, and how PPAF can mainstream ageing in their program.
The session covered what ageing looks like in Pakistan and globally, intersectionality of Age Gender and Disability, and the everyday struggles older people face—like health issues, financial insecurity, and social isolation. But it wasn’t just about challenges. The discussion also focused on how older people contribute to their families, communities, and the nation.
One of the participants shared, “This training has given us a new perspective on how we can design our projects to be more age-friendly and inclusive.”

Another added, “We now understand the importance of considering older people’s needs and contributions in our work, and this will help us create more impactful programs.”
The session was started with the opening remarks FAID’s CEO Syed Moeez Kakakhel. The session was led by Mr. Shahzado Khaskheli, Head of Programs at FAID, along with Ms. Tanzila Siddique and Mr. Faisal Hussain.
It ended with certificate distribution concluding remarks from Mr. Arshad Rashid, Chief Programmes & Mr. Abdul Rehman, Manager HR, Admin & Procurement, PPAF.
