Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Officer to support our program team in developing and implementing effective communication strategies. This role involves content creation, designing advocacy materials, media engagement, and digital storytelling to amplify FAID’s impact.
Key Responsibilities
📌 Content Development & Digital Media
Develop high-quality content for FAID’s website, social media, and newsletters.
Capture success stories and case studies that highlight the impact of our programs.
Produce engaging videos, infographics, and other multimedia advocacy materials.
Ensure all communications align with FAID’s branding guidelines.
📌 Public Relations & Media Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with media partners and stakeholders.
Draft press releases, media briefings, and opinion articles.
Pitch FAID’s work to media outlets to enhance visibility.
📌 Event & Campaign Support
Assist in organizing awareness campaigns, advocacy events, and community engagement activities.
Support program teams in documenting and promoting field activities.
📌 Research & Innovation
Stay updated on emerging communication trends and technologies.
Support policy, advocacy, and rights-based program development.
📌 Safeguarding & Compliance
Ensure that all communication efforts adhere to FAID’s safeguarding policies.
Report and address any safeguarding concerns following FAID’s protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
✔ 2-3 years of relevant experience in communications, media, or content development.
✔ Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, and other graphic design tools.
✔ Experience in video production, photography, and digital storytelling.
✔ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
✔ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
✔ Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
