Mr.Khalid Naeem
Mr. Khalid Naeem is a seasoned human rights and social development professional with over 50 years of experience in the government and non-government sectors. He has held senior positions with the Government of Pakistan and has contributed extensively to policy development, advocacy, and programmes related to human rights, older people, children, women, and persons with disabilities.
He has played a key role in developing and finalizing national policy frameworks and policy documents, including those on senior citizens, child rights, juvenile justice, child trafficking, child development, and the rights of persons with disabilities. He has also contributed to official and shadow reports under CRC, CEDAW, UNCRPD and the SDGs, and has authored research papers and draft legislation on social protection, health, and gender equality.
Mr. Naeem has served as Consultant and Director General of the Directorate General of Special Education, Ministry of Social Welfare and Special Education, Government of Pakistan. He currently serves as a Member of the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC) and Country Director (Honorary) of the International Council for Education of Visually Impaired (ICEVI), and advises several organizations working in social development and human rights.
